I'm still in, and if any one breaths at word of this to me, i will full on tell them all the details.
There is going to be some very upset JWs in the next few weeks.
Are we going to see a decline in JWism in Australia because of this? I hope so.
the governing body have painted themselves in a corner, so to speak.
if they acknowledge their response to abuse claims was insensitive, unloving and inadequate they are denying the belief that "god's way" is best and risk losing abuse cases.
if they stick with it and say it is "god's way according to the bible" they will be seen as cult leaders and risk losing abuse cases.

you can refer to me as a still in mole.
anyway, i've been getting texts from jw's about the australia news.
the general census is that the jw's are very, very confused.
Not heard a peep from anyone.
For it to be noticed by most dubs, it will have to be front page news on all the papers and top headline on news sites and radio stations...
It's only been 2 days out of 2 weeks (?)
The shit is about to hit the proverbial fan.

The obvious thing that is going to happen when them 3 guys from Australia bethel get grilled, is to pass the buck onto the GB.
Can the royal commission request any GB members for questioning? Could they work with the the U.S authorities in getting them over to Australia for questioning?
My guess it will be business as usuall for the GB, until this shit directly affects them personally. Then we might see some heads roll......maybe.
my jw boyfriend just ended a year and a half relationship with me.
it came out the blue and i'm deeply hurt by this because we were so compatible.
he did it right before the big annual gathering he is presently attending.
There is a line between casual relationship (what he probably wanted) and a full blown relationship (what you wanted and what happened)
The thing with JW guys though, is they have marriage marriage marriage drummed into their heads so much, that he probably doesn't know how to undertake a casual relationship.
So he ends up dating a good women like yourself and rationalizes with himself that it's OK because he would be thinking about marriage. Breaking some rules, but wouldn't get him kicked out of the religion.
Then the whole issue of sex comes up. He get's frustrated and inevitably (as the path of relationships go) you have sex.
That's when his guilt will kick in, and he'll just end up believing that this is a casual relationship, because in his mind, the only sex you have before marriage is "casual". But the kicker is, he doesn't want a casual relationship, he thinks he wants to get married. This is because in the JW religion, you don't date anyone unless you want to marry them.
So he breaks it off with you, probably because of guilt, and a lot of it is JW conditioning for him to think in a certain way.
The guilt will wear off, and he will (probably) do it again to another women, with the same end results as yourself.
And the whole cycle goes round and round and round....
That is a very basic explanation.
i saw this on a public user group for jw's .
the librarian [email protected].
the caption reads:.
M.E is one the JWs all seem to have.
Constant banging on the drum to do more, do more, do more, will burn anyone out if they take the religion seriously enough. Listen to to the GB, not to your body telling you to take a break.
i've mentioned it in a few threads, but i'd like to make it a thread of it's own.. i'm going to make the prediction the gb will schedule a new meeting once a month, starting in jan 2016, for watching the jw broadcasting program.
at the moment it's up to each cong to organize a viewing, but soon the gb will take over the arrangements.. i make this assumption based on the fact that they know that a substantial quantity of pubs are not tuning in every month.. by scheduling a meeting once a month, it's easier for the gb/elders/organisation to gauge how many people are watching, and to make sure everyone is fully indoctrinated with what the gb are saying.
it will also keep the rank and file busy busy busy.. if i was a cult leader, that's what i would do.

If i was a cult leader, that's what i would do. Try and get as many people to watch my face every month, and for them to listen to every word i say.
It will be announced at the AGM 2015.
I'm calling it.
once a month about 15 to 20 elderly jw publishers would meet at the kingdom hall and one elder was assigned to set up the system so they could view jw broadcasting.
these publishers were long time pioneers, former elders, and long time publishers who know nothing about computers or the internet.
they are the last batch of those expecting the generation that saw 1914 or understood it--- to not die off.
That boredcasting thing is just a fad.
FAD: an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, especially one that is short-lived; a craze.
That's all this religion is these day. Fad, fad, fad.
It's less than one year old, and it's already getting boring in a lot of congs.
That's why i think the GB will schedule a new meeting once a month to watch that shit. It will be mandatory, like the midweek and weekend meeting. That will get the sheep back in line.
so i was seating at the meeting this past sunday.
the latest wt article to be studied speaks of "using our imagination" to think about the blessings of the kingdom.
the whole study was centered around how we can, and should, spent time visualizing ourselves in the new world, working along with our brothers.
Its very disgusting and shameless what they are doing.
Behavior control
Information Control
Thought Control
Emotional Control
Control, control control. That is the aim of the WTBTS, once you loose control, the whole thing comes undone. You gotta keep the soldiers in line with some emotional tears.
i am not sure if this guy is really from bethel, or walkill, but if he is....this poor guy really tells it like it is from the heart.
he was surprised.. at the 'oh so fast, pack your bags, get your stuff outta here' layoff !.

Well done to the guy for waking up and getting out, and also for telling his story.
But, he sounds like he is telling his story like it happened a few months ago, which i can understand. But this was YEARS ago. Seriously, you have to move on with your life instead of focusing on this negative part of his life.
Yes he was harshly treated, and yes, i would also be very f*cked off. But you have to just move on or the bitterness will just eat you up, like sadly, i think is happening to this poor guy. It sort of plays into the WTS narrative of "bitter angry apostates".
in the beginning of internet the society was worried about the information published exposing its falsehood.
so, i wonder how many people lost the society on account of forums and web sites like this.
.
I turned to wikipedia to find a definitive list of past and present governing body members. This was after i had heard countless people talking about "GB member this and that", and felt bad because i didn't know anything they were talking about. And you had to search a lot on WT Library to try and get a list of names.
So i searched, and found Ray Franz name, and wondered why i had never heard of this guy who was effectively kicked out of the GB for dissension. So i did a google search which led me to this site.
I suppose it was the lack of transparency that led to my awakening.
The more the current crop of GB members talk themself up, and talk about "Bro GB this and that in the past", the more witnesses will search for former members, and will stumble on Ray Franz name, and Green-lees name. And the more they mention apostates, the more witnesses will get curious and do a bit of searching. It's basic human psychology, you repeatedly get told not to something, you eventually end up doing it. Apostate sites, Porn sites, sex before marriage among a host of other things that they keep on bringing up month after month makes people curious, which leads to experimenting with these said things.
So yes, the internet has already done a lot of damage to the Watchtower society, and the JW.org website has only been going for 2 years.
Humans have an inbuilt curiosity in them, and the WTS can do nothing to change that.
